Dr. Ross McKay

Goalie Coach

Coach McKay grew up in western Canada, played junior hockey in Calgary before attending the University of Saskatchewan where he played 4 years. After college, he signed as a free agent with the Hartford Whalers and played in their system for 3 years, winning a Calder Cup Championship in his final season.

After retiring from professional hockey, Coach McKay came to the Chicago area to attend chiropractic college and began coaching goalies. Now, 30 years later he has been fortunate to coach goalies who have gone on to play in the NHL, drafted to the NHL, play NCAA hockey, and win a Hobey Baker trophy.

Coach McKay has worked with the Benet Academy program for 10 years.
